What we collect

When you send a booking inquiry, we collect what you enter in the form: your name, email, phone and company if provided, booking type, dates, headcount, and your message. We use this only to respond to your inquiry and manage bookings.

We also collect first-party usage analytics: which pages and sections are viewed, button clicks, the site that referred you, your device and browser type, and an approximate location (city and country, worked out from your IP address; never your precise location). Your browser keeps a random visitor identifier and a browser fingerprint so repeat visits can be counted. Browsing on its own is not tied to your name. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

When you send an inquiry or a referral, we match it to your browsing on this site (when you visited, what you looked at, roughly where from) so the owner can follow up with context. If you have turned analytics off, nothing is matched and the owner sees only what you typed plus the approximate location and device of that one request.

What we don’t do

We do not sell or share your personal information, and we do not use it for anything beyond responding to you and improving this site.

Retention and your choices

Inquiry records are kept while they are relevant to an active or potential booking. To request a copy of the information we hold about you, or to ask us to delete it, email Jiggs@thescantruck.com and we will take care of it.

Usage analytics run until you turn them off. To stop them in this browser, open Privacy choices and choose Reject. Browsers that send Global Privacy Control are never tracked.
